Who we are

Adventure256 is a brand of Life Kitchen Studios, LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company. In these terms, “Adventure256”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Life Kitchen Studios, LLC, operating as Adventure256. “You” means anyone who visits or uses the site.

What the site is for

The site describes our work as a fractional Chief AI Officer (a part-time senior leader for a company’s artificial intelligence strategy and adoption). On it you can take a short readiness check, send us a message, ask for our monthly letter, or book a call.

None of those creates a client relationship. An engagement begins only when both sides sign a written agreement, and that agreement governs the work. Where a signed agreement and these terms differ, the signed agreement controls.

General information, not professional advice

Everything on the site, including the result of the readiness check, is general information to help you think about your situation. It is not legal, financial, tax, investment, security or other professional advice, and it is not an assessment of your particular business. The readiness check gives you a starting point for a conversation; it is not an audit. Decisions you make using the site are your own. For advice on your circumstances, engage us or another qualified adviser under a written agreement.

Confidentiality

Please do not send confidential or sensitive business information through the site’s forms, the booking calendar or a first email. Until a written agreement with confidentiality terms is signed, we cannot treat what you send as confidential, and sending it creates no duty of confidentiality and no client relationship.

We still handle what you send with care, as our Privacy Policy describes. If you want to share confidential material before an engagement, ask us for a mutual nondisclosure agreement first and we will gladly sign one.

Our content and our name

The writing, design, images, video, code and other original material on the site belong to Life Kitchen Studios, LLC, or are used with permission or from the public domain. All rights reserved.

You are welcome to read the site, share links to it, and quote short passages with credit and a link back. Copying, republishing or adapting larger portions needs our written permission. The Adventure256 name and logo are our marks. Names and logos of other companies that appear on the site belong to their owners, and their appearance does not imply endorsement or partnership.

Artificial intelligence training and scraping

You may not use the site’s content to train or fine-tune any artificial intelligence or machine-learning system, or to supply such a system with reference material when it answers questions (often called retrieval-augmented generation), without our written permission. Bulk scraping, automated copying and re-hosting of the content are not permitted.

This is an express reservation of rights. People reading the material, quoting it with credit, and thinking with it is exactly what it is for.

Acceptable use

Please do not:

• try to break, probe, overload or gain unauthorized access to the site or the systems behind it;
• submit false information, another person’s details, or automated or bulk submissions through the forms; or
• use the site in any way that breaks the law or harms others.

We may block traffic or submissions that look abusive.

Other sites and services

The site links to, and in places loads, services run by other companies, such as Cal.com for booking and LinkedIn, X and Substack for our writing and updates. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.

No warranty

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it accurate and running, but we do not promise it will always be available, free of errors, or current. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability (fitness for ordinary use), fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Life Kitchen Studios, LLC and its members will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred US dollars.

Some places do not allow these limits, so they apply to you only as far as your local law permits. This section does not change the terms of a signed client agreement, which sets its own.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its rules on conflicts of law. Any dispute about the site will be decided in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you and we both agree to their jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top of this page changes. Using the site after an update means you accept the updated terms.
